How long will my macarons stay fresh?
Our macarons stay freshest when they are refrigerated as soon as possible after purchase and eaten within 5-7 days. For best flavor, bring to room temperature before eating (about 10 minutes). Our macarons can also be frozen for 1-2 months. To thaw, place them outside of the freezer for approximately 30 minutes prior to eating.
Can I freeze my macarons?
Yes! In fact, they keep very well in the freezer for up to two months. When freezing, make sure they are in an air-tight and freezer safe container. In addition, we recommend wrapping with plastic wrap to ensure that as little air and moisture as possible can get to them.
How do I schedule my delivery?
As it stands right now, The Perfect Sweet macarons are available by scheduled delivery only. Because they are fresh-baked, they must be ordered at least three days in advance and we ask that you request a date and approximate time under "special instructions." We will do our best to accommodate you!
How big are the macarons?
At The Perfect Sweet, every macaron is made by hand. Therefore, there is slight variation in size between 1 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter.
You have so many different shell and filling flavors and combinations; can I come up with my own and customize my order?
At The Perfect Sweet, we aim to please! We love coming up with new flavor combinations and equally love input from our clients! We encourage you to ask for a customized order and if we put it on our menu, we will give you 15% off your next order!
Are there NUTS in ThePerfectSweet macarons?
YES; by very nature of the basic ingredients in a macaron, almond flour is an essential ingredient. While some have been able to come up with a nut free variation, we have not ventured into this area nor could we assure that there wouldn't be cross-contamination, at this point. Therefore, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT TREE NUTS ARE in our macarons.
Is there DAIRY in ThePerfectSweet macarons?
YES; in most of the fillings. There are some fillings that do not contain diary and the can be special-ordered, in many cases, to be made without dairy.
Are there PEANUTS in ThePerfectSweet macarons?
While most of our macarons DO NOT CONTAIN peanuts, they are present in our facility and we CANNOT GUARANTEE that traces of peanuts may not be present on or near equipment and preparation surfaces.
Are The Perfect Sweet macarons gluten free?
While most traditional cookies are made with a wheat-based flour and, therefore, contain gluten, macarons are made with nut-based flour, specifically almond flour. The almond flour that we use at The Perfect Sweet is certified gluten free. In addition, the flavorings and other ingredients that we use in nearly all of our macarons are gluten free. HOWEVER, there are a couple of exceptions and more may be added to our list. For example, our S'MORES macarons contain graham cracker crumbs which DO CONTAIN GLUTEN. Therefore, that while it is very unlikely that gluten will be present in any of our macarons, we CANNOT GUARANTEE that there may be TRACE AMOUNTS.
What ARE the ingredients in The Perfect Sweet macarons?
Every macaron shell is made up of four primary ingredients: Egg whites, cane sugar, confectioners' (powdered) sugar, and almond flour.
Most, also contain very small amounts of flavoring and/or color. While we do our absolute best to try and use only natural flavorings, there are some flavors that require a very small amount of artificial flavor. The same goes for color. One of the elements that give macarons their quintessential charm is the variety of color. We feel that using a few drops of artificial coloring is a necessary component to create this delight!
Sometimes, ingredients are sprinkled, poured, or otherwise added, on top of the shells, including, but not limited to, graham cracker crumbs (s'mores), dark, milk or white chocolate, candy sprinkles, chocolate vermicelli, coloring, extract, etc. These ingredients are predominantly natural, but may contain very small amounts of artificial color or flavor.
